Long and Feng patterns first appeared in China more than four thousand years ago. In Chinese culture, the pair symbolize the Yin and Yang balance. The Long (Yang - masculine, active and heaven-bound) and the Feng (Yin - feminine, gentle, earth-bound),  together they represent the harmonious equilibrium of all opposing forces in the universe. This balance is the foundation of peace, prosperity, and cosmic order.
